To the Editor:
Congratulations to state Rep. Jack Franks on his tenaciousness. He promised to pass a law to allow McHenry County to finally get rid of unnecessary governmental bodies, and he delivered against strong odds. The McHenry County Board opposed Jack’s efforts, even using tax dollars to lobby against this law.
Now Jack can use the law he passed in Springfield as the first elected McHenry County Board chairman and actually reduce the size of government and reduce our property taxes.
Franks will bring the leadership necessary to truly reform our county government, and the cool part is he can use the very laws he wrote to accomplish these goals.
